Masters Entertainment Group Inc., a professional network television production company based in Bristol Tennessee, will provide professional broadcasts of King University’s men’s and women’s basketball games in 2021, as announced jointly by King and Master’s Entertainment on Monday.
Ted Jones, president of Masters Entertainment Group, stated, “We are pleased to be back producing basketball again. Mr. Hicks and Mr. Chell have been so accommodating and knowledgeable helping us get this agreement arranged.”
Masters Entertainment Group previously provided broadcast coverage of the Arby’s Classic high school basketball tournament, held annually between Christmas and New Year at Viking Hall in Bristol, Tennessee, which typically features some of the top teams in the United States, as well as some international teams.
The award-winning television production company currently produces several programs for Motor Trend Network, and has produced multiple programs in the past for ESPN, ESPN2, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, Discovery Network, Comcast Sports South, MAVTV, REV’N network and Rev Network in Canada.
“This will be a significant upgrade to our live webcasts,” said King University Director of Athletics David Hicks. “Master’s Entertainment will provide a professional broadcast and allow fans to watch the Tornado with many of the perks you see on ESPN on a Saturday afternoon.”
“This will be a 6-camera shoot, with instant replays, and complete graphics, like you would expect to see on any big television network” Jones explained.
Live webcasts for all King University men’s and women’s home basketball games for the 2021 season will be available on the Master’s TV Network, www.kingtornado.com, and on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network, via streaming devices such as Roku, AppleTV and Amazon Fire. Conference Carolinas road games will also be available on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network and at www.kingtornado.com. All broadcasts will be available free of charge.
“We strive to provide a first-class experience for our student athletes,” Hicks continued. “The enhancement of our live webcasts is a great addition to this experience, and will be enjoyed by Tornado fans and supporters everywhere.”
The Tornado will tip off the season on Wednesday, January 13 vs. Emmanuel College in the Conference Carolinas opener for both teams. The women’s game will tip off at 5:00pm, with the men’s game to follow. Schedules for all King Athletics teams can be found at www.kingtornado.com.
