A Power-Packed History
At its inception over 20 years ago, Masters Entertainment Group created a quality product based upon its professional drag racing roots with our seminal show, Inside Drag Racing. Since then Masters has created a multitude of programming for Velocity, Fox Sports Net, ESPN, EPSN2, ION, Oxygen, Outdoor Channel, Speed Channel, Sun Sports, and CSS, always with an eye on the future.
Capable of providing a marketing department, a full complement of cameras, on-camera talent, and post production including five Avid suites, Masters’ programming expanded to include everything automotive, from monster trucks to lawn mowers, and broadened its production expertise into such events as live boxing, boating, rodeo, and high school basketball.
Expanding into other forms of motorsports, Masters Entertainment Group created the Mothers Car Show, the Lokar Car Show, Dream Ridez, and the Menards Chevy Series, all providing viewers with an inside look at the most beautiful vehicles in the country.
Noticing the trend toward reality-based television, Masters began helming several automotive-based reality series, starting with the wild and crazy King of the Strip, then moving on to Bidding Wars, Motorsports U, Hooked on Dirt, and the popular Coomer’s Country.
In 2010, Sam Memmolo and Dave Bowman, the original duo in how-to automotive programming, reunited and teamed up with Masters Entertainment Group to create the Motorhead Garage program airing on Velocity, MAVTV, and REV’N. Since Sam and Dave’s retirement, new, younger hosts continue to make Motorhead Garage a top-rated program for Masters.
Masters then continued to expand the how-to genre with the Performance TV series that exposes viewers to numerous automotive performance upgrades each week on Velocity, MAVTV, and REV’N.
Masters’ most recent addition to the garage-show category is the highly-rated Tech Garage series, where ASE certified college instructor John Gardner and ASE certified mechanic Bryan Gregory provide instruction, tips, and techniques for working on all types of vehicle systems.
